Ohio Council of County Officials (OCCO) Legislative Reception

Statehouse Atrium
Columbus, Ohio

The Ohio Council of County Officials (OCCO) will sponsor a Legislative Reception for members of the Ohio General Assembly on Tuesday, April 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Statehouse Atrium. The OCCO would be honored by your attendance. County elected officials from around the state will be in attendance.

The Ohio Council of County Officials (OCCO) is an organization that strives to unite the various associations representing county elected officials and judges in order to promote sound, efficient, and fiscally responsible government. It serves as a forum to provide information about issues of importance to county elected officials and allows members the opportunity to work on legislative issues of mutual concern.

Counties are eager to work with the 133rd General Assembly to improve the state-county partnership. Ohio’s 88 counties serve as the administrative partners of the state by providing vital services, such as infrastructure, justice and public safety, human services, economic development, and many others. Given the challenge of balancing limited resources with increasing costs and demand for services, communication between state and county elected officials is more critical than ever. This reception will be a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and information about how to best meet the needs of our mutual constituents.

We request the courtesy of an RSVP by April 4.  Please Click here to register online.

Please contact Mary Jane Neiman, CCAO Public Relations Associate, at 614/220-7979, 888/757-1904 ext. 302 or mjneiman@ccao.org if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you at the reception.
