Since 1940, the County Engineers Association of Ohio has worked to unify its members in providing the highest quality transportation, drainage, surveying and land record keeping services. From the safe and efficient movement of people, goods and services to continuing land development needs, CEAO strives to construct solutions for many challenges to Ohio's local infrastructure. Ohio County Engineers are responsible for 26,081 bridges and 28,970 miles of urban and rural roadways that are vital to the combined growth of jobs and prosperity in the state of Ohio.

Ohio Department of Development Gives $1.5 Million for Monroe County Road Repair, Saving 35 Mining Jobs
MONROE COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — One month of rain, dozens of road slips.
Flooding damage in Monroe County put access to a mining business in jeopardy, until a state program stepped in to repave, and save 35 jobs.
A small ceremony at American Mine Services Thursday commemorated work five years in the making.

How to Watch the 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony for the Paris Olympics is set for Friday.
Instead of a traditional march into a stadium, about 10,500 athletes will parade on more than 90 boats on the Seine River for 3.7 miles. This will start the ceremony, not mark the end of it, another break from tradition.
CEREMONY START TIME
The ceremony starts at 1:30 p.m. EDT/7:30 p.m. CEST and is expected to last more than three hours.

County Engineer Celebrates Retirement, Passes Torch
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Montgomery County Engineer is celebrating “no work ahead.”
Paul Gruner has served as the Montgomery County Engineer for 13 years, after serving in the private sector for 30 years.
On Thursday, his office celebrated his next chapter — retirement. Colleagues from throughout his career joined in the party, signing a construction sign made for the occasion.

Bridgeworks Design Evolves Again - Minus Hotel
An ever-changing lending market has caused designs to change again for the proposed Bridgeworks development, 2429 W. Superior in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood. Some things were noticeably different in the plans — no hotel, no retail/restaurants, a big increase in the number of apartments, and a variety of colors and materials in the façade which, at first glance, makes the long building look like five or six structures.

169th Ohio State Fair Officially Opens with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
COLUMBUS, OH (WLIO) - The 169th Ohio State Fair is officially open. Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted helped cut the ribbon to open the fair that runs until August 4th.
