Since 1940, the County Engineers Association of Ohio has worked to unify its members in providing the highest quality transportation, drainage, surveying and land record keeping services. From the safe and efficient movement of people, goods and services to continuing land development needs, CEAO strives to construct solutions for many challenges to Ohio's local infrastructure. Ohio County Engineers are responsible for 26,081 bridges and 28,970 miles of urban and rural roadways that are vital to the combined growth of jobs and prosperity in the state of Ohio.

ONU, Columbus State Community College, Partner to Offer a Pathway From an A.S. to B.S. Degree in Engineering

Starting on March 1, 2025, a new, three-year partnership between Ohio Northern University and Columbus State Community College will enhance the ability of engineering students to pursue and achieve their educational goals.

Under the articulation agreement, students who have completed an Associate of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Columbus State, will be able to seamlessly enroll at ONU to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Students will enter ONU at junior status, receiving credit for all relevant coursework taken at Columbus State.

Lucas County Approves Ten Mile Creek Ditch Cleaning Program

LUCAS Co., Ohio (WTVG) - One of the Lucas County ditch cleanup plans has now been approved.

That means many people will see a new fee on their tax bill. But it turns out it’s not everyone in the county.

Approved Tuesday was the Ten Mile Creek cleanup. The Swan Creek one is still pending. Even if you can’t see the creek or even know where exactly it runs, engineers say you get the benefit and you’re part of the payments.

Natural Resource Assistance Council Applications Due to Lorain Co. Engineer by April 11

District 9 of the Ohio Public Works Commission is accepting applications for membership on its Natural Resource Assistance Council, and the Lorain County Engineer's Office will be taking applications on its behalf through April 11.

The council, composed of representatives from Lorain, Medina and Huron counties, was formed to implement the Clean Ohio Program as approved by Ohio voters. The terms of four current members are set to expire on Sept. 24.

License Plate Fee Sought For Infrastructure Improvements

The Williams County commissioners are considering a request from the engineer’s office to add a $5 permissive tax on license plates in order to fund infrastructure projects.

Williams County Engineer Todd Roth and John Waterston from the engineer’s office made the suggestion Thursday, pointing out material, labor and equipment costs continue to rise.
